Hi you are my 7/4/24 present. Loved your wax brush cleaning video. I just stumbled onto it. I do ceramics and there are a lot of interesting non texture vases I work with. I use gold leaf sometimes for punch but it's so tedious. I'm about to begin using Metallique waxes, hence my interest in brush cleaning. I had NO IDEA about the use of Plaster of Paris. Question: Could you put Plaster of Paris on a fired ceramic piece and while P of P is still wet press a stencil into it for design purposes? If so one could create some wonderful designs. What do you think? Paul in AZ

This was awesome and just what I needed to see because I have set my sights on refinishing the top of our old dining room table because there are several spots where the old varnish has been damaged by nail polish remover. The “Go do something!” at the end was lovely to hear😎💪🏻❤️

Manchester, England. I live on a boat, and the bow entrance doors face the prevailing wind. They're American Oak and have been varnished many, many times. I'm not confident about applying chemicals to remove the layers of varnish as some areas are discoloured/weather damaged. The heat gun, scraper and the harshist sandpaper have all prooved fruitless. It would be good if I could complete this over the next 3 days, as it's actually sunny! Advice would be very welcome.

Thanks for this tutorial, and especially for the stiky spray and the blotting wit paper towel tips. I wil spray bleach a denim skirt this afternoon. I'm a little anxious becouse I was affraid I may ruin the skirt, but with your tips i think I have got the process under controll.

You don’t necessarily have to use a primer. You can rough sand to give it ‘tooth’.

Your audio was going in and out so.....not watching.

You are not focused and spend alot of time looking for things and talking about nothing.

So thankful I found this video. I'm refinishing an old trunk for a friend and I've spent too much time sanding off the gummy varnish in order to even reach the wood. This will surely help eliminate that step! Thank you!!!

Numerous natural ways that are better for wood as well. Those products reduce the wood strength

So much waste and product . Sanding is quicker and less harmful

I rather do something by can with sandpaper. Regardless of how long it takes because I'm not into buying and selli. Prefer that method because I hate chemicals. I may finish off with a little bit around areas that I can't sand. Citrus strips sound interesting 🤔

That table looks great! It reminds me a lot of a table my mom found on the side of the road that she restained and painted. It never occurred to me that you could just cut off the decorative edges, and it looks so much better with a flat edge

I know you are using Dixie Bell here, but I’m in Canada and would like to by locally (to avoid heavy shipping and border costs) Also, would I use the same kind of brush on velvet as you are for the chair in this video?
